Course Description:
Hand made marbled kosi paper, Thai lace paper, metallic powders, and Japanese rice parchments will introduce you to a new way to explore non-objective collage painting with water media. We will use old standards of shape, color and textural techniques to create a magical explosion of color and movement in your painting. Students don’t need to be a proficient artist to play with this technique. No experience necessary, but a working knowledge of how to use watercolor will be helpful. Those proficient in painting can apply strong elements of design to their composition to take this process further.
